Balconies are provided to all rooms.
Look, there's no way, at this point, to keep the charade going. This place is quite simply a scary, derelict, abandoned, and crumbling motel. Having formerly lived on this street (6 years ago), I was pretty amazed to see just how bad this building had got. Answer? Pretty fucking bad! Even at its peak, when it was open, the place was scary. Room rates by the hour. Piano bar full of hookers, but...all of that pales in comparison to this utterly disturbed piece of art, currently on display in room 318 (open 24 hours).
Pretty certain I will be having nightmares tonight.
So, I am pretty much without speech. A crack den in the middle of Mount Lawley. This was a really disturbing place.
On that note, more of Perth's abandoned buildings, coming soon!

I am afraid, very afraid
Wow - I used to live in Mount Lawley. Here's a photo of this building from September 2004.
Myself and few mates decided to go in there a couple of months ago and i dont think i have ever been more scared in my life
we were chased by someone when we got up to the third floor from climbing it
Dont go in there, just dont
its used at a crack house at night
Hey mate, Great pics on the site. I went in this building last year sometime for work. I had to kick the door down of room 318 and even with my gun out I was slightly on edge after seeing the disturbed picture.
I am intrigued as to why you would be called to room 318 specifically..
What you have not hear about what happened in 318? Come on you must be trolling.
Is this place still standing?
I visited this today, took some photos from the outside. Looked empty but I wasn't keen on meeting a crack addict or crazy ex-concierge empty handed. Just wondering, did you come across any company when you did this shoot?
I work just down the street.... have often wondered what it was like when it a going concern. Found the reception centre/ restaurant concept kind of hard to believe. It now reminds me of the abandoned hotel in the Vampire Masquerade Bloodlines game... only evil things could ever happen there.
what exactly happened in room 318 last year that we are meant to know about anon (april 16, 2010, 6:09pm)?
I, Anonymous (May 2, 2010, 9:12 PM) broke inside today and took some photos. It wasn't really that frightening, and there wasn't anything that dodgy inside (compared to the partridge mansion, anyway). So it's still standing, more or less.
Nate, did you find the elevator shaft? My friend and I found a passage that lead to some tiny metal stairs. We climbed them and found the lift mechanism, maintanace papers, service reports ect. Interestingly, the service records stop at about '02. I've got photos, I'll post them on my blog later.
Oh, I found a few Pacific Motel pamphlets inside. Very amusing.
Taking a gun with you into room 318 (where the porn mural is) is overkill, it's not that scary.

Photo taken by my friend, Codee.
I've got a shitload of photos that I've taken from this place, it's still there and the interior decorators are still going strong.
I'd like to know what actually happened in 318?
Currently in the process of a redevelopment application, gated off and relatively high police presence in the area.
Pfft, it's easier to get into than your Mother, Anon. Climbing a fence isn't exactly commando-level shit.
What happened in room 318?
The Partridge Mansion?? What and where is this place?
Nothing dodgy inside this site compared to the mansion??? Interesting......
I went out there today.
it was opened up like someone was living there each night..
candles left there, Smell of fresh paint.
some of my pictures are up on my Deviant art site.

i have to know what happened in room 318 now! someone please let us in on it!
A little while ago in Room 318 a clock ticked once...
I can't believe what i see. I've lived in this hostel for three months, when i was in the school of english just in front (the St-Mark's college). In was 10 years ago, in 2001. I even recognized my own room in a picture, i think....
I love how a Google search still has the website up for this place, last updated 04'. And several third party travel places still promoting it.
Perhaps they should get some images up of it's current state to boost occupancy rates?
Very well written website, obviously the previous management were fluent in English...

i just moved in 1 block away from this place. all the locals say it doesnt cause any issues but there are cops everywhere. still standing as of December 2011
iv squatted there, made a mess with paint there too, in fact you can see my name on a couple of the pics, its just an old sh*thole thats safer than sleeping on the street, and actually kinda fun but the second floor(where that room 318 is) is genuinely creepy, iv climbed thru most squats and half dead buildings in perth but that one was the strangest...besides the underground dungeon in kelmscott with big iron bars and shackles attatched to the walls, glad somebody burnt that place down now i know what was there. still i dunno what happened in 318 possibly its just because its darker than the rest of the place and bizzare psychosexual "art" is always gonna just make that worse. gotta admit though, whoever did it has all of you and countless others confused/scared/curious about it for a long time afterwards, thats an emotional response to an image somebody presented to you, actually as gross as that thing is its probably the most artistic piece in there, and the artist is clearly insane.
if you wanna learn about a really bizzare building read up on the water and sewerage monument just round the corner from this place, odd history to it.
whi r there so many homeless then in perth?
I used to drop many a tourist and junkie there as a cabbie in the mid noughties and always had a slight unease for them. Didn't happen too often but it did at the location.
As they say you get what you pay for. Still, what's to stay, what happened after, life is what you make it after all and I have had many a good time in dinghy towns and inns around the world and boring as shit nights with beautiful women in fancy hotels...
Hi is that dungeon in kelmscott still here?

Hi there. Feel free to comment, but keep this in mind:
This is a happy place, lets keep it that way, together. In this day and age of spam and idiots, I need to check every comment before it gets published. If it's now 2013, odds are I'm on a tropical beach somewhere in South East Asia, or possibly checking out some abandoned Soviet-era architecture in Eastern Europe, and maybe your comment won't appear for some time. But leave one anyway! If you have a personal message for me, I won't publish the comment, so feel free to submit it here. Thanks for checking out 6000TIMES, and have a nice day.
